Difference of Squares

Pronunciation: /ˈdɪ.frəns ʌv skwɛərz/ Explain

A difference of squares is a two variable expression in the form a2 - b2. A difference of squares is used to expand the expression: a2 - b2 = (a + b)(a - b).
